The book "One Second After", written by William Forstchen in 2009 is a classic story of survival after a devastating EMP attack on the USA, the main character John Matherson leads the community of Black Mountain, NC after the attack which destroys all modern technology and sends the country into anarchy is finally being made into a movie.
