One of the Most Underrated Sci-Fi Movies of the Past Decade is Streaming Right Now on Prime

Prime Video is, famously, the home to a recent cinematic sci-fi disaster that is also somehow compellingly watchable, but there are actual good sci-fi movies on the streaming service — which means you don’t need to waste your life watching War of the Worldsjust because it’s so bad that it’s kind of fun. One of those actual good movies, and one of the best sci-fi movies of the past 10 years, is an underrated gem called The Vast of Night. The directorial debut of filmmaker Andrew Patterson, The Vast of Night uses its low budget and low-fi techniques to tell a genuinely impressive 1950s-set sci-fi mystery and, again, it’s on Prime Video right now.
