Pawan Kalyan, an actor turned politician who also serves as Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, made a spectacular appearance at the pre-release event for his upcoming pan-India film They Call Him OG. The Power Star surprised fans by wielding a katana on stage, narrowly missing his own bodyguard. The scene was recorded on film and has since gone popular on social media.

OG pre-release screening

The filmmakers of the upcoming film held a pre-release screening at the LB Stadium. Pawan Kalyan wore a black costume to accent his role in the film, Ojas Gambheera.

Pawan Kalyan makes impressive entry

Interestingly, he was also carrying a sword from the film. Pawan Kalyan made an impressive entry as he went up to the stage, but what took everyone off guard was a split-second fear as the weapon swung dangerously close to his bodyguard.

'They Call Him OG' event was a disaster ? delayed 3 hrs despite rain warnings, no proper trailer & total negligence. If not for Pawan Kalyan stepping in, it would've been a complete washout.

Pawan Kalyan spoke to the large assembly. He freely acknowledged that the incident temporarily distracted him from his political responsibilities. "Have you ever wondered or seen a Deputy CM walk around with a sword? Since it's a movie, I can walk," he said.

When OG trailer will be released?

Despite the fact that the event was interrupted by the city's intense rain, fans managed to gather in large numbers to catch a peek of their idol and view snippets of the teaser. Fans anticipated the trailer would be available shortly, but it hasn't yet appeared online.

Pawan Kalyan praised his team in a speech he delivered during the occasion. He encouraged him to attend the event in character, and he praised filmmaker Sujeeth's idea. He said, "I almost forgot I was the Deputy Chief Minister today because Sujeeth made me feel like Ojas Gambheera."
