Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain Turned Down the Chance to Tour with Rock’s Greatest Band

If there’s one thing Nirvana was good at, it was saying “no.” Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and Dave Grohl were the antithesis of mainstream culture. Instead of fully complying with the music industry, whenever someone tried to push them the wrong way, Nirvana pushed back just as hard. Case in point: their 1991 Top of the Pops performance, where the band purposely sabotaged the set after being forced to use pre-recorded music.
