If there’s one thing Nirvana was good at, it was saying “no.” Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and Dave Grohl were the antithesis of mainstream culture. Instead of fully complying with the music industry, whenever someone tried to push them the wrong way, Nirvana pushed back just as hard.
