New TV Show Will Explain Why Everybody Hates Jake Paul, Aaron Rodgers, & More

A new television show has been greenlit, set to explain why everybody hates Jake Paul, Aaron Rodgers, and more. The show in the works is Vice TV’s latest anthology docuseries, Everybody Hates, which will pull back the curtain on polarizing figures in the sports world.

According to the official description, via Variety, “Rather than asking whether these athletes deserve the hate they receive, Everybody Hates asks a different question: How did they become the people millions love, millions hate, and almost everyone has an opinion about?”

Vice TV president Pete Gaffney said, “The biggest stories in sports are often the ones everyone thinks they already know. Today’s athletes are judged in real time, often before the full story is understood. ‘Everybody Hates’ looks beyond the headlines to examine how these figures became symbols of much larger cultural conversations. That’s exactly the kind of storytelling Vice has always done best.”

Who else will the Everybody Hates show focus on besides Jake Paul and Aaron Rodgers?

The premiere episode of Everybody Hates will focus on Paul, who was most recently brutally knocked out by Anthony Joshua. Later episodes are expected to feature stars such as Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick, Caitlin Clark, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Each episode of the upcoming show will profile a different athlete. According to the episode guide for the docuseries, the second episode, after Paul, will feature NFL star Rodgers’ life behind the scenes as he transformed from an underdog into one of the most contentious figures in modern sports.

Rodgers will be followed by WNBA star Caitlin Clark, who propelled women’s basketball into the mainstream. Then it will explore NFL star Michael Vick’s off-field controversies. International soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo will follow next to explore the underbelly of his story. Lastly, it will cover boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., who left a trail of scandals in his wake of polarizing wins.

The six-episode series is set to debut on Vice TV on October 27 at 9 p.m. ET, with the last episode scheduled for December 1, 2026.
