New Conjuring Movie Passes Huge Global Box Office Milestone, Beating 4 Predecessors in Less Than a Week

Less than a week into its theatrical run, The Conjuring: Last Rites is already one of the highest-grossing horror movies in box office history. It delivered the biggest horror opening of the year last weekend, and has now shot past the $200 million mark at the global box office. The Conjuring 4 has also overtaken several of its predecessors in the Conjuring Universe, and is on track to become the franchise's top-grossing installment. In this case, the decision to market it as the series' final chapter seems to have paid off, although the same strategy didn't really work for the recent Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
