Anthology shows tend to be pretty hit-and-miss, so they can make for an awkward binge-watch. When you binge a show like Black Mirror or American Horror Story, there’s no sense of consistency. You fly through the best episodes, but the worst episodes really drag down the whole experience. There are a small handful of anthology shows that have managed to keep the quality up throughout their entire run, like Rod Serling’s timeless classic The Twilight Zone, but they’re few and far between.
