There was nothing like watching Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) cause mayhem in the offices of NCISand find new ways to earn a smack on the back of his head from Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). So, when Tony exited the series, we knew that no one could replace our favorite goofball, nor his ability to try and fail to match Ziva David's (Cote de Pablo) physical skills on the field. However, we had a vague expectation that they would introduce a character who had similar skills, so they could replace Tony's functional role on the team. Instead, we got Tony's antithesis in the form of Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), who would go on to be one of the most compelling and funniest characters on the show.
