CBS surprised everyone heading into the fall television season with its decision to leave Matlock, one of its biggest winners of the past three years, on the bench. After wrapping up the big Wellbrexa cover-up that was explored throughout Seasons 1 and 2, the series is taking extra time to creatively revamp for what will be a shorter Season 3, with a new storyline to follow for Matty (Kathy Bates) and Olympia (Skye P. Marshall). Although that left a void on Thursday nights alongside Elsbeth, it also created an opportunity for Robert and Michelle King to reunite with Evil star Mike Colter for a new legal thriller in Cupertino to pair with their pink-clad sleuth. So far, it's been going well too.
