Teja Sajja's new action film Mirai has been making waves among audiences and critics. The film is directed by Karthik Ghattamneni. Teja Sajja's film broke records with its release. The film earned Rs 13 crore at the box office on the first day of release. According to Sacnilk, Mirai earned Rs 14.5 crore on the second day of release. Out of this, Rs 10.75 crore came from Telugu language, while the Hindi version earned Rs 2.5 crore. The film earned only Rs 2 lakh in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages combined. The total collection of the first two days has now reached Rs 26.50 crore. The total occupancy of the Hindi version of the film on Saturday was 18.92 percent, with the highest occupancy recorded in Chennai - around 90 percent. In the latest reports by Sacnilk, Mirai has earned Rs 0.74 till 8 am on its first Sunday, marking the collection of a total Rs 28.24 crore. If this pace continues, the film is expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in its first weekend itself. However, Mirai is facing a tough competition at the box office from Japanese anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle, which is also doing well in India.

Demon Slayer had earned Rs 13 crore on the first day in India and recorded a growth of 7.08% on the second day. On Saturday, the film earned Rs 13.92 crore, which is Rs 47 lakh more than Mirai. Of this earning, 8.2 crores came from Japanese language, Rs 2.97 crores from English and Rs 2.75 crores from Hindi. The total earning of this anime film in two days has now become Rs 26.92 crores. In this way, Demon Slayer has overtaken Mirai by a small margin.
