This year seems to be the year of sequels for Telugu cinema. And Karhik Ghattamaneni's Mirai does not seem any different. The recently released film stars Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran in lead roles. This fantasy-based action film has a mid-credit scene, which clearly establishes the plotline and story for the sequel of the film. However, judging by the reaction of people on the internet, it seems like most people have missed it. If you were one of those people who fled their seats as soon as the credits started rolling up, then do not worry, because here is everything you need to know about the sequel to this recent release. Spoilers ahead.

All about the sequel

The movie concludes with Vedha (played by Teja) defeating Mahabir Lama with a weapon that turns into Lord Ram's Kodanda whenever the need arises. Kondana is the supernatural bow of Lord Rama. The weapon is called mirai. Vedha also manages to secure the nine texts left by King Ashoka that have the key to the power. While the film itself ends on a satisfactory note, the mid-credit scene introduces a new character, an antagonist in particular, along with the title to the sequence.

The audience enters the mid-credit scene with a voiceover of Prabhas, which introduces a character played by Rana Daggubati. The character sits surrounded by gold. It is revealed that the man has a superpower, which turns everything that he touches into gold. This is a reference to King Midas from Greek mythology. The antagonist states that he is looking for Mirai and mentions that, like Treta Yug, he will not let it go this time. This hints at the character being either immortal or reincarnated.
