As the case develops further, viewers learn that an unknown male grabbed Megan and put her in a pickup truck.

When the investigation fails to reveal anything substantial, Amy starts digging on her own. Ultimately, Amy gets in touch with Josh. When they meet, Josh first denies his involvement and later taunts Amy, establishing that he was the culprit.

Soon, Amy is also snatched away.

A title card informs viewers that verified images of Megan have surfaced on a fetish website. The images show Megan with torture devices on her mouth and nose.

Later, the police discover Amy’s camcorder abandoned in a local trash can. The camcorder reveals that Amy was chained to a wall in an apparent underground torture chamber and sexually assaulted.

Josh later forces Amy into a 50-gallon blue barrel, which also has Megan’s decaying corpse. The footage cuts to a forest, where Josh can be seen digging the ground to bury the barrel with the two girls, while Amy can be heard begging from inside.

Ultimately, Josh buries both the girls and walks away. It seems that Josh was never found.
