
Apple TV+ has shared a brand new trailer for The Lost Bus, its upcoming survival drama led by Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey and Golden Globe winner America Ferrera. The movie will arrive in select theaters on September 19, followed by its Apple TV+ premiere on Friday, October 3.

What happens in The Lost Bus trailer?
The video provides the audience with a closer look at the lives of McConaughey’s Kevin and Ferrera’s Mary before the wildfire incident happens. The trailer highlights their desperate efforts to save the children from the catastrophe while also trying to comfort them during the crisis. The cast also includes Yul Vazquez as Ray Martinez, Ashlie Atkinson as Ruby, Spencer Watson as Hopkins, Danny McCarthy as McKenzie, Levi McConaughey as Shaun, and more.
The Lost Bus is directed by Paul Greengrass from a screenplay written by Brad Ingelsby, based on Lizzie Johnson’s 2021 book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, about the 2018 California wildfires. The movie is produced by Ingelsby, Greg Goodman, Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions, and Jamie Lee Curtis for Comet Pictures. The creative team consists of director of photography Pål Ulvik Rokseth and composer James Newton Howard, along with editors Peter Dudgeon, William Goldenberg, and Paul Rubell.
“Inspired by real events, the movie is a white-knuckle ride through one of America’s deadliest wildfires, as a wayward school bus driver and a dedicated school teacher battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno,” reads the official synopsis.
