Massive Free Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 Content Update Revealed

A free content update for Funcom’s open world survival title Dune: Awakening, Chapter 3 is set to feature a completely rebuilt endgame.

Sleepers, we are happy to announce the Chapter 3 Free Update. It is our biggest update yet, featuring a rebuilt late-game. The update and the Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC will arrive early next year.

Paying host to a massive amount of changes, improvements, and additions, Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 is set to be its biggest update yet.

Combat-wise, Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 will introduce the Dual Blades, the Pyrocket, and a full Rapier rework.

Joel Bylos, Creative Director on Dune: Awakening, said the following:

“We know players want a richer experience late in the game, and this update lays essential foundations for what’s coming next.

We’ve rebuilt the Landsraad system from the ground up, added new ways to earn rewards whether you play solo or in groups, expanded faction ranks, and introduced the new Specialization system.

It also includes new locations in the overland with brand-new missions and unique repeatable Testing Stations with escalating difficulty for additional rewards.

Our goal is to give players more options in the late game than ever.”

Also coming to Dune: Awakening is its Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC, which is set to add more than 70 new building pieces, decorations, and cosmetics that have been inspired by the Imperium’s Smugglers.

Dune: Awakening is available for the PC via its official Steam page, and is currently 35% off as part of the Steam Winter Sale.
