“Marvel’s Wolverine” Gets Scent Trail Toggles

Insomniac Games has announced that they have now updated “Marvel’s Wolverine” with a new patch to fix some of the most contentious parts of the game.

Specifically, the update includes toggles to turn on/off Whisky Bottle Scent Trails, Material Crate Audio Clues, and Nightmare Door Roots. It also addresses several community-reported crashes and bugs.

In the off position, it means the only Senses and blue-scent trails that still appear are story-critical ones. Reaction to the update seems to be quite positive for the most part.

Reviews in the time since the game’s release have been interesting with even X, what was the most vociferously negative on the game pre-launch, now far more positive overall, though the usual cohorts complaining of DEI and linear gameplay are still hanging around.

On the PlayStation store itself, the title has racked up over 48,000 reviews – the second most reviewed game on PSN that came out this year behind only “Resident Evil Requiem”.

On that store, where you have to have purchased the game to vote, it currently sits at a score of 4.73/5 – about on par with “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” at 4.72/5.
