Marvel Killed and Resurrected Spider-Man Just To Give Him Organic Webshooters

In the mid-2000s, MarvelComicsdecided to give Spider-Manorganic webshooters, like his counterpart in the Sam Raimi films; except the publisher went about this in the most bizarre way possible: by having Peter Parker transform into a giant spider, and then give birth to a nearly-identical copy of himself.
