Marvel Cosmic Invasion Trailer Reveals 2 More Characters

Tribute Games and Dotemu revealed a new Marvel Cosmic Invasion trailer announcing two more playable characters. Fan-favorite Marvel hero Black Panther, as well as Cosmic Ghost Rider, will be part of the roster when it inevitably launches on console and PC. Check out the brand-new trailer below, which features gameplay of both characters.

When is the Marvel Cosmic Invasion release date?

As expected, Black Panther will be an agile martial artist, with abilities that allow him to quickly strike or dodge his foes. Although he’s known as a melee combatant, T’Challa also has some range thanks to his vibranium daggers. If these blades hit, they do sonic damage to his enemies, staggering them for a moment. His special move, the Panther Slash, has the hero slicing and dicing his way across the screen with his vibranium claws.

Cosmic Ghost Rider has a moveset that looks to have a bit more range and power than Black Panther. Frank Castle’s chain attack combo lets him take out swarms of enemies in a few swings. He has a blaster that can take out enemies with ease, partially thanks to its quick reload. He can also get on his Cosmic Cycle and take out his foes in a blaze of glory.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion will feature 15 superheroes at launch. Some of these characters are the most popular heroes in Marvel’s stable, including Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine. It also features some deep cuts, like Nova, Beta Ray Bill, and Phyla-Vell. Much of the game’s art direction is inspired by the visual style of 90s comic books. As of this writing, 13 of the 15 have been revealed. Here are all the superheroes that have been announced for the game thus far:

A release date for Marvel Cosmic Invasion has not yet been announced by developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu. However, according to the PlayStation Blog article that was posted alongside the recent character reveals, they seem to still be scheduled for a release this year for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
