The long-running Channel 4 soap is no stranger to a whopper of a twist but the latest is perhaps one of its biggest to date as the identity of Imran Maalik’s (Ijaz Rana) mysterious ex was revealed.
After locating missing Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis), Imran chased the former chef in high-octane scenes, which resulted in tragedy striking as Lucas was left trapped under scaffolding.
Imran contemplated contacting the emergency services for help but instead decided to call his former flame. In subsequent scenes, the person in question arrived at the house boat in search of answers and a great big shock of a twist followed, with his ex being revealed as none other than the Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring).
Elsewhere, Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton) showed his true nature once more as, after sleeping with Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), he grew sinister again and vowed never to let her go.

Back in the present, Leah Barnes (Charlotte Alex Riley) continues her investigation into unearthing missing files on a computer following her chat with Jenson – and successfully locates Imran’s confession, which he deleted several weeks ago.
The social media influencer is left saddened as she listens to Imran discuss the love he has for his ex, which dashes hopes of a reunion.
Jenson, meanwhile, leaves Mercedes incredibly unnerved as he continues to spiral out of control.
Mercedes plays along with his discussions in the hopes of securing her escape but things get worse as he confesses his love for her – and refuses to let her out of his sight.
Later, Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) is livid as he finds out what has happened.
Over at Dee Valley hospital, Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) prepares for her first day on work experience – but the morning proves incredibly stressful when a friend is rushed in. Who has been injured?
Is it Lucas? Or someone else? And speaking of Lucas, will he live to fight another day after being left to die by worried Imran?
Also at the hospital, Frankie spots Kathleen-Angel (Naledi Rapotu), who she suspects is there for a pregnancy test, encouraging her to go to her appointment.
Elsewhere, Tony (Nick Pickard) agrees to throw the kids a sweet sixteen party while Maddox Keane (Sam Meyer) suggests a Halloween do at the coffee kiosk.
Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter), meanwhile, confesses to Leah that she’s got feelings for Tony.
Wednesday, October 21
Fed up of Jenson, Warren resolves to put an end to him once and for all. But will he follow through this time? It’s certainly possible, especially after Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) uncovers some disturbing information about Jenson which he shares with Mercedes.
Later, Warren drags Theresa (Jorgie Porter) in the car while Jenson is in the boot. How will this all end?
Elsewhere, Kathleen-Angel seeks advice from AI on symptoms instead of going to her appointment while Abigail Matthews (Brooke Vincent) meets up with De Dee (Chloe Atkinson) at the garage for their ‘first date’.
