
Amazon MGM Studios has shared the official trailer for Maintenance Required, the upcoming romantic comedy led by Riverdale vet Madelaine Petsch. The movie is scheduled to premiere on October 8, 2025, exclusively on Prime Video.
“Charlie, the fiercely independent owner of an all-female mechanic shop, is forced to reevaluate her future when a flashy corporate competitor moves in across the street,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. “Seeking comfort, she turns to an anonymous online confidant – unaware she’s confiding in Beau, the very rival threatening her business. As sparks fly both online and off, the truth threatens to blow everything apart.”

What happens in the Maintenance Required trailer?
The video introduces Petsch as a young mechanic who owns her shop. She finds comfort in an anonymous online friend, whom she instantly connected with due to their shared love for cars. Unbeknownst to her, her online friend is actually going to be her business rival in real life. The trailer highlights the unlikely pair’s blossoming romance online and offline. The cast also includes Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Madison Bailey (Outer Banks), Katy O’Brian (Love Lies Bleeding), Inanna Sarkis (After We Collided), Matteo Lane (Matteo Lane: The Al Dente Special), Jim Gaffigan (Peter Pan & Wendy), and more.
Maintenance Required is directed by Lacey Uhlemeyer, who co-wrote the screenplay with Roo Berry and Erin Falconer. The PG-13 movie is produced by Matt Luber, Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Matt Williams. It currently holds a total runtime of 100 minutes or an hour and 40 minutes.
