While the box office has been dominated in these last few weeks by major titles such as Zach Cregger’s Weapons, James Gunn’s Superman, and Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, another film has quietly delivered excellent results. The long-awaited legacy sequel Freakier Friday may not have broken out quite like Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice last year, but it has snuck past the coveted $100 million mark worldwide, and has out-grossed the Mean Girlsmusical from 2024.
