What would you do when you enter a long vacation period? Sleep the whole day? Prop yourself in front of the TV or gaming console? Or head for a vacation to somewhere far away? The possibilities are endless, especially if you are someone like LeBron James. After all, with the Lakers having been recently eliminated from the ongoing playoffs, the 40-year-old now has at least 5 months where he does not have to worry about basketball.

Furthermore, with a reported net worth of $1.2 billion, the Lakers star can travel anywhere he pleases. But if LeBron James has taken off on a trip, he’s keeping it completely under wraps. Meanwhile, his wife, Savannah, is doing quite the opposite—leaving a clear trail of her recent whereabouts.

LeBron James recently took to his official Instagram account to share a few stories with his 159 million followers. Knowing how personal the player can get on social media, fans would have expected at least some update on the NBA star’s whereabouts through his story.

Instead, however, all they got was LeBron promoting the IG stories of Lobos 1707, the Mexican tequila and mezcal company for whom LeBron James was an early investor. These past few days have been important for the brand, as it has been responsible for serving people who came to witness the Miami Grand Prix. While LeBron James would usually be found at the ultra-luxe, invite-only Palm Club at the Hard Rock Stadium to watch the race, he was notably absent from the same this year. Only his sponsored tequila brand was there.

Along with the Lobos 1707 promotion, LeBron James put up another Instagram story. This one featured the latest Nike ad that featured WNBA star A’ja Wilson and promoted the latest shoe release bearing her name: The A’One. No whereabouts of the 4x NBA champion in here too.

If LeBron James is not traveling anywhere and is staying too busy on Instagram, then there is a good reason behind it. After all, while Game 5 ended badly for the Lakers—it was worse for the 40-year-old, as he had sustained a noticeable injury.

The same occurred in the 4th quarter, when LeBron collided with Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo. The player was on the ground for a while, writhing in pain. He later came out of the game and was visibly seen limping to the sideline. While he returned to the game, it was clear LeBron wasn’t 100%. Sure enough, the King was later diagnosed with having sustained a Grade 2 MCL sprain.

A recovery time for an injury like that is typically 3-5 weeks. This means that LeBron James is likely on bed rest now, giving him enough time to scroll through Instagram and share what he wants to with his followers.

Just because LeBron James might be on bed rest doesn’t mean Savannah James is staying put. Queen James has been living it up, documenting her outings on social media—including a recent hangout with her close friend, April. And if that wasn’t enough, she even debuted a fresh new look ahead of her anticipated appearance at the Met Gala. Naturally, LeBron didn’t miss a beat—he spotted the transformation online and wasted no time dropping his stamp of approval.

Earlier today, Savannah took to her official Instagram account to share 2 posts for her 2.5 million followers. Only one word could have been uttered from a person’s mouth upon seeing them: “Wow”. After all, Queen James had uploaded a video of herself dressed in a tailored burgundy suit with a deep V neckline.

She paired that up with matching velvet trousers to highlight a look that resonated elegance. Another noticeable change was Savannah’s hair. Instead of the long, Rapunzel-like hairdo she usually boasts, the 38-year-old’s hair in the post reached only till her shoulders. Either Savannah decided to let go of that long hair, or she was simply sporting an elegant wig. Either way, no one could deny just how fabulous she looked.

Savannah had added “A lil pre Met Gala pop out” as the caption in one of the posts. LeBron James reacted to both of them, saying no words but leaving “” as a comment.

The 2025 Met Gala is scheduled to be held on Monday. LeBron James is listed as an honorary chair for the fashion event. As of now, given his injury, it is not confirmed whether the NBA All-Time Scorer will make an appearance at the event or not. Even if he does not, however, Savannah, with her elegant and classy look, will be enough to cover for them both.
