The director recently announced that actor and son Hrithik Roshan will be directing the movie this time. What did Rakesh Roshan say about Krrish 4?

Rakesh Roshan gave a significant update on Krrish 4 in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama on his 76th birthday. It is common for producers and directors to lay up a thorough production schedule before their films are shot, and Krrish 4 is no exception. Roshan disclosed that the budgeting was the source of anxiety, although the scripting did not need much time. "Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we'll be starting the film," he added.

Rakesh also disclosed that Krrish 4 is already in full development and that the film's shooting would begin by the middle of next year. "This is because the pre-production is much more extensive in this film. Hence, we have to be well-prepared before we go on floor."

When asked if the shoot will continue till the end of 2026, the iconic filmmaker responded in the positive. Will Krrish 4 then be released in 2027 or 2028? Rakesh Roshan replied, "We plan to release it in 2027."

When asked if a new Krrish film was in the works during an earlier interview with ANI, Rakesh Roshan replied that an official announcement should be coming soon. The filmmaker stated, "Yes, it's almost ready now. I'll be announcing very soon."

The superhero action thriller series has four installments. Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3 were the first three. Rakesh Roshan produced all three, but Yash Raj Films and Rakesh Roshan's Filmkraft will provide funding for the fourth film. Although the film's cast has not been revealed by the producers, there are many rumours that Priyanka Chopra may return.
