Kneecap Declare 'F**k Sharon Osbourne' As She Plans To Attend Tommy Robinson March

Kneecap have reignited their public spat with Sharon Osbourne, in light of the news that she plans to attend an anti-immigration march put on by the far-right commentator known to his followers as Tommy Robinson.

On Thursday night, the Irish band shared a short and succinct statement after Osbourne commented on one of Robinson’s posts to say: “See you at the march.”

Reposting an opinion piece in Metro with a headline claiming that “Sharon Osbourne attending a Tommy Robinson march proves Kneecap were right about her”, the band responded on X: “Fuck [Sharon Osbourne].”

Kneecap first crossed words with Osbourne last year, after they made headlines with their performance at the Coachella music festival due to comments they made in support of Palestine.

They also projected messages like “fuck Israel, free Palestine” on the screens behind them, and accused Israel of committing “genocide” in the Middle East.

Following this, Osbourne – a vocal supporter of Israel – shared a lengthy social media post, claiming that Kneecap should have their US work visas revoked and accusing them of turning their Coachella set into a “Hamas fan club”.

“At a time when the world is experiencing significant unrest, music should serve as an escape, not a stage for political discourse,” the former X Factor judge opined.

“While festivals like Coachella showcase remarkable talent from around the globe, music’s primary purpose is to unite people. It should not be a venue for promoting terrorist organisations or spreading hate.”

She added: “Kneecap, an Irish rap group, took their performance to a different level by incorporating aggressive political statements. Their actions included projections of anti-Israel messages and hate speech, and this band openly support terrorist organisations.

“This behaviour raises concerns about the appropriateness of their participation in such a festival and further shows they are booked to play in the USA.”

A spokesperson for the band told HuffPost UK in response: “Statements aren’t aggressive, murdering 20,000 children is though. Or executing 15 medics and burying them and their ambulances.”
