Julia Roberts sparked buzz after revealing the seven people she would invite on her dream night out. The Oscar-winning actress shared the names during a recent cover shoot interview, offering a mix of family, cultural icons, and close friends.

Here’s what we know about her list, the reasons behind her choices, and the projects she is promoting now.

Who are the seven people in Julia Roberts’ dream night out?

Julia Roberts revealed her dream night out guest list in a behind-the-scenes 72 Magazine cover shoot video. The clip was shared exclusively with People.

“Let’s start with my husband,” she began, referring to Daniel Moder, whom she married in 2002. She continued, “For some reason, I don’t know why, I’m thinking Jesus,” before adding Joni Mitchell, Virginia Woolf, Van Morrison, her best friend from high school, Paige, and Edward Enninful.

The actress, 57, revealed the list during her 72 Magazine cover shoot, out September 12, 2025. Enninful asked about Paige, and Roberts said, “She’s awesome. We’ve been friends since we were, I guess, like, 15?” adding that Paige is her daughter Hazel’s godmother.

Enninful then asked what two questions Roberts would pose to her group of seven. Roberts first joked, “The first question would be, ‘What do you think about me?’ That made me feel a little nauseous, just trying to make that joke.” She then clarified, “One question would be, ‘What has been the most fulfilling aspect of your life?’ and ‘Does anybody here like beans on toast?’”

George Clooney, Roberts’ longtime friend and frequent co-star, conducted her feature for the debut issue of 72 Magazine. The pair has worked together on five films, among them Ocean’s Eleven and Ticket to Paradise. Enninful highlighted Roberts’ ability to resonate with audiences across different generations and cultural backgrounds.

Alongside the magazine launch, Roberts is promoting After the Hunt, a drama with Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri. The story centers on a professor whose life unravels when a student accuses a colleague, putting her own buried secret at risk of exposure. The film is set to premiere on October 10, 2025.
