There was once a time when Ackles was known only for his role as Dean Winchester in Supernatural, but he’s starred in new shows recently that may have just surpassed Supernatural in overall fame. A few years ago, Ackles made his superhero debut in The Boys on Prime Video starring as Soldier Boy, and his character was so well-liked that he’s been chosen to lead the franchise’s second spin-off, Vought Rising. Prime Video also leaned on Ackles to lead a new crime drama last year, Countdown, but the show was canceled after only one season.
