Indy’s injury list just won’t stop growing. Just yesterday, Chloe Bibby’s name got added to it due to a season-ending knee injury. But what made it even worse was Caitlin Clark’s update. Despite being “hopeful,” the 23-year-old Iowa native isn’t participating in the playoffs. But knowing Clark, she is letting herself be a part of every game.
On Friday night, when Indy took on one of the bottommost teams, the Chicago Sky, Caitlin Clark proved her presence matters. During the clash, cameras caught the Indiana Fever sensation animatedly engaging with players and refs from the sideline.
She was so expressive that even commentators on ION couldn’t help but highlight her presence. “A lot of action along that Fever sideline… Listen, it does not matter if Clark’s wearing a jersey or not, you’re gonna see her active on the sideline either way,” said one.
Whether suited up or sitting out, the former Hawkeye star has vowed to remain a spark for her teammates. Expect that in the playoffs too.
