We’re getting deeper into the treachery, murders and banishments of the Celebrity Traitors series 2, with many highlights to choose from so far.

From Richard E Grant’s stunning fumble to multiple recruitments in the Traitors’ turret, the series packed plenty of surprises as the group of famous faces play the game of wits to win money for their chosen charities.

One name who may not have been too familiar to many is King Kenny, with the content creator proving himself a worthy faithful so far with his direct line of questioning and clear joy at playing the game.

So, let’s get to know King Kenny a little better…

Who is King Kenny?

King Kenny, whose real name is Kenny Oghenovo Ojuederie, is best known as a content creator and YouTuber.

The 29-year-old from Watford has a degree in media studies from Brunel University and first launched his YouTube career in the 2010s, posting a multitude of vlogs and pranks.

After starting with his own content in 2014, he soon became a part of the British YouTube collective known as The Beta Squad,, consisting of Chunkz, AJ Shabeel, and last year’s The Celebrity Traitors cast member, Niko Omilana.

The Beta Squad YouTube channel has over 12 million followers and often sees the squad set each other challenges and compete in games – so King Kenny was well prepared for the rigours of The Celebrity Traitors missions.

Was King Kenny a boxer?

Yes, as well as being a content creator, King Kenny has also spent a lot of time in the ring.

He made his boxing debut in 2022 in a fight against American content creator FaZe Temperr.

He went on to compete in several exhibition and professional matches, including Misfits Boxing bouts, facing opponents like DK Money, Ashley Tebi, Anthony Taylor, Adam Brooks and Salt Papi.

His boxing record stands at five wins and four losses across a total of nine fights.

He competed for five years but had to retire earlier this year due to a rib injury sustained during sparring.

At the time, he said: ‘I’m retired. He broke my rib when he sparred, right here and he put me into retirement and I’ll never fight again. The move I taught him, he done it to me but in my rib and broke it in two places. He used my trick against me and it works, man!’

What has he said about being on The Celebrity Traitors?

Ahead of going into the castle, Kenny told the BBC that he was here to avenge his pal Niko: ‘When I heard I was going to play this year I got determined to do this for Niko and avenge him!’

Niko only lasted three episodes in the first series of the celebrity addition of the show and was one of the first celebs to be banished, despite being a faithful.

He also said his career experience, both on YouTube and in the ring, could help him play the ultimate game of deception.

‘I love playing games,’ he said. ‘Obviously, boxing is very competitive. I think any time there’s a competitive level to something, I get more excited and interested. You’ve got more of an incentive there to care about it.’

‘I’m a bad liar, but I’m a bad liar to friends and family’, he admitted.

‘I think if it’s strangers, it will be easier. If someone knows you well, they’ll notice subtle things that others don’t.’

The Celebrity Traitors airs Thursday and Friday evenings on BBC One from 8pm throughout October. Catch up on BBC iPlayer.
