If the Indiana Fever miss the playoffs, it won’t be because of their opponents but because of injuries. In a short span, the team has endured three season-ending injuries, while their star, Caitlin Clark, remains sidelined in recovery. To make matters worse, even Chloe Bibby, who was signed as an injury replacement, has also gone down. Talk about bad luck.
With the roster thinning, head coach Stephanie White recently gave an update on Bibby’s situation. Bibby had returned to action and was available for the Sparks game, but surprisingly, she was ruled out again for the Valkyries matchup. When asked about the reason, White explained, “Not so much a setback. It’s just with all the travel and everything else, it just swelled up and swelled up so much that it’s caused some issues, and so she won’t be available.”
Stephanie White says Chloe Bibby hasn’t had a setback, but all of the traveling made her left knee “swell up so much that it caused some issues,” so she won’t be available tonight.

That explanation, however, did not sit well with fans. Many pointed out that what White described was exactly what most would call a setback. One fan bluntly wrote, “Isn’t that the very definition of a setback?” Others turned their frustration toward the staff. “Is this training staff even doing their job?” another fan asked. The growing chorus online makes one thing clear: Indiana Fever fans are unhappy with how the team is handling injuries.
The story is still developing…
