
After set photos from Spider-Man 4‘s Glasgow production had gone viral, Tom Holland finally opened up about his experience filming his next Marvel movie in front of thousands of fans. The highly anticipated next installment to Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ blockbuster franchise will arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.

During a recent interview with AFP, Holland shared how exciting it was to film Spider-Man: Brand New Day on the streets of Glasgow, where fans were able to see Holland’s friendly-neighborhood hero in action. Set onlookers were treated to some of the movie’s action stunt performances, including a behind-the-scenes look at the hero’s swinging stunt.
“Yesterday, I was on top of a tank driving down the high street in Glasgow, in front of thousands of fans, and it was awesome,” Holland said. “It was so incredible, it was exciting, and exhilarating, and it felt fresh.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The movie is led by MCU vet Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also expected to return for the sequel. Joining them are Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Endgame) as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jon Bernthal (Daredevil: Born Again) as Frank Castle/Punisher, Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion. It is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito.
Production is currently underway at Pinewood Studios in England.
