Prime Video's underrated historical fantasy series features one of the genre's most interesting villains. Fantasy storytelling is just as dependent on the strength of its protagonists as it is on the intrigue of its antagonists. A fantasy villain can make or break a story; make them too cartoonish, and the entire journey falls apart. Make them too sympathetic, and they can overshadow the hero(es). It's a tough line to walk, but it's all the more rewarding for a viewer when it's done right.
