Kodansha announced there are two The Quintessential Quintuplets anime projects in development and a manga. Everything came up during the Toyota Arena Tokyo event on May 2, 2026. We know the manga and show will both be based on the light novel called The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Four Seasons. The origin for the OVA didn’t come up. There is also a new trailer highlighting everything and piece of key art showing the Nakano sisters. Everything will continue what we’ve seen in the existing manga and anime

Since the new anime and manga are based on The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Four Seasons, we know what to expect from that part of the story. It still follows Futaro Uesugi and his relationships with all of the Nakano sisters, leading up to which one he ends up with at the end. Everyone is in their third year of high school, so we will see what happens with Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki through the end. That light novel consists of three volumes worth of stories and insights into the family.

The teaser art shows the five sisters together, which you can see below:

Here’s the trailer going over the announcement of the new projects. It features footage from past anime adaptations and highlights all five of the sisters one after the other.

Note that we do know who Futaro ended up with at the end, so beware of spoilers if you search online.

There’s no release window yet for the new The Quintessential Quintuplets manga or anime series based on The Four Seasons light novel, just as there are no details regarding the OVA yet. The original manga is available worldwide via Kodansha, and the previous anime adaptations are streaming on Crunchyroll
