Netflix’s July removals are heavy on licensed movies and comfort franchises, but there’s a major loss for anime fans, too. It’s a title that is known for building a rare multi-platform footprint, and the anime, which arrived after Yūsuke Ishida’s live-action Netflix version in 2023, later even reached Adult Swim’s Toonami block. The anime still carries a perfect 100% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes with a strong 91% Popcornmeter audience score on the review aggregator as well.
