‘Michael’ Is Already One of the Worst-Reviewed Movies of the Year

It’s taken years, but the complicated Michael Jackson biopic, tightly titled Michael, is finally set to release in theaters everywhere this weekend. The film stars Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jafar Jackson, as The King of Pop, along with Juliano Valdi, Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, Nia Long, and more. John Logan wrote the script for the film, with Antoine Fuqua directing. Some fans have proclaimed that Fuqua wasn’t the right person to helm the Michael Jackson movie, and while he may not have much experience with musical biopics, he has delivered some hits over the years, like Training Day and The Equalizer, both of which feature Denzel Washington.
