User Home of DCU posted photos of an actor who had a shaved head and dressed in a suit on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “A mob boss in Clayface.” Another user named Apocalyptic Horseman shared a clip of the actor filming a scene and wrote, “Seems like he might be the villain after all. Anyone recognize the actor? They wanted to cast big names and offered it to some big people but I can’t tell who this is.”

There is not much information currently available on the character. However, according to a report by ComicBookMovie.com, some fans are speculating that the character might be Roland Daggett. Daggett made his debut in the Batman: The Animated Series as the CEO of Daggett Industries. He is heavily involved in the creation of Clayface. However, these are just rumors, and nothing has been confirmed about the villain by James Gunn or director James Watkins.

Gunn spoke about bringing Clayface to the DCU in June 2025 with Entertainment Weekly. He stated, “I think it was just we needed DCU content. Mike Flanagan [the film’s co-writer] is somebody who I’ve been friendly with for a long time, and he wrote me about Clayface. He texted me about it really early on in my DC journey. Just being honest, I did not think that was something that was going to happen, but he came in and he pitched the idea and I was like, “Oh s—! That’s cool.” It’s a body horror movie. It’s a horror movie that, like any cool body horror movie, just happens to be in the DCU.”
