Actor John Hannah has indicated that his 1999 “The Mummy” co-star Arnold Vosloo appears to be returning for the upcoming next entry.
Back in June, Hannah spoke with Italian magazine CiaK as part of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where he mentioned the Imhotep actor’s name, saying:
“Arnold Vosloo, a very good friend of mine, will also be returning; he is currently finalising the agreement from Cape Town, where he resides.”
Hannah also mentioned Kevin J. O’Connor’s name as a returnee at the time, though neither actor had been confirmed. The interview seemingly was published without much in the way of notice until this Tuesday, when O’Connor and Oded Fehr’s returns were confirmed by the trades.
Those two have already been set to join already confirmed returnees like Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and Hannah himself. It also led to speculation about who else might return, with Vosloo as the not-unexpected next name being mentioned.
This interview quote quickly surfaced. It’s assumed at this point the agreement has been finalised but Universal Pictures has not confirmed that at this time. Radio Silence directs the film, which will begin filming soon ahead of an October 2027 release.
