Many people might differ with this take, but #BookTok has done a good job of getting books into readers’ hands. From amassing millions of views, to hitting best seller lists, to being translated into different languages, and even adapted into film or TV shows, the books in this list are the top dogs in #BookTok romance. But what if you’ve read all of these romance books and want something else that feels similar but isn’t as well known?

While #BookTok has its pros, it also has cons. For one, unfortunately, the same titles are shared often. That doesn’t mean they’re bad or that they don’t deserve it, because every single one in this list is hands down amazing. But people tend to not give chances to other books that aren’t as popular. So, this list is a way to let readers know that if you loved that #BookTok romance, you might like this other book that has similar aspects and tropes. Double the fun, I would say.

If you like Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid, read…

I always say Brim Over Boot is Heated Rivalry, but with cowboys. If you love the sound of that, definitely give this a chance.

Book two in the Darling Brothers series brings Noah and Colton into the limelight. The rival farriers can’t be in the same room without arguing, and everyone knows they are bitter enemies. Until Noah kisses Colton and everything changes.

If you like Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score, read…

Sanctuary by Rebekah Weatherspoon

For the ones who love whenever the city girl moves to a small town and falls madly in love, I bring you Sanctuary. This book kicks off with a bang and continues to hold onto your attention throughout the whole story.

While Things We Never Got Over starts with a runaway bride, Weatherspoon’s novel has our protagonist murder someone with a stiletto. Sanctuary has a little bit of suspense, danger, and plenty of romance.

If you like Icebreaker by Hannah Grace, read…

Collide by Bal Khabra

When the grumpy girl hates hockey but ends up falling for a hockey player — oh, we love to see it, don’t we.

Collide and Icebreaker are quite literally the perfect books to pair up together. Both deal with hockey players who are Golden Retrievers in human form and girls who are not that impressed by them. But also, these two books are incredible individually as well.

If you’re looking to read more hockey romances with grumpy girls and sunshine boys, Collide is one you cannot miss out on.

If you like The Deal by Elle Kennedy, read…

Final Boy at Randy’s by Loren Leigh

You’re probably wondering why this book is mentioned alongside The Deal when the plot is rather different, but when it comes to the characters of each novel, you can find a resemblance in Garrett/Hannah and Lennox/Reed. So, I thought it would be a good book to read if you’re looking for something that has a similar vibe to The Deal‘s couple!

An artist and a misunderstood jock end up working on an indie horror film in this queer contemporary romance set during the spooky season.

If you like Final Offer by Lauren Asher, read…

Ex Appeal by Cathy Yardley

There is one single thing that these two books have, and that is the second-chance romance trope. The angst, the reunion, the yearning between them…there’s just nothing like it! Ex Appeal is a perfect match if you love Final Offer and want to read something similar.

In Cathy Yardley’s romance, Emily and Vinh are childhood sweethearts reuniting years after their break-up, which ended badly. Now, they have to work together if Vinh wants to find the missing money from one of his clients. And the only one who can help him is his hacker ex, Emily.

Glamour, billionaires, heiresses, and marriages of convenience. If you love reading books featuring things like that, it’s a guarantee that you’re going to adore The Charmer, a contemporary romance following a heiress who, in order to access her inheritance and save her mother’s assets, has to get married for a year. And the man ready to walk down the aisle with her is the charming billionaire who’s been pining after her!
