TLDR

Binance opened HYPE spot trading on September 24 at 11:00 UTC with three pairs: HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC, and HYPE/TRY. HYPE carries Binance’s “Seed” tag, marking it as higher risk with mandatory risk quizzes every 90 days. Wallet 0x6436 has repeatedly bought HYPE, including 373,730 tokens worth about $36 million in September. Technical charts show resistance levels at $110, $130, $160, and $180, with a longer-term target near $210. Roughly $1.2 billion worth of HYPE has been bought back and burned since launch, per a September SEC filing.

Those pairs are HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC, and HYPE/TRY. The TRY pair is only open to Binance TR users, since it involves the Turkish Lira.

Deposits opened an hour before trading began. Withdrawals are set to start on September 25 at 11:00 UTC, though Binance said this timing is approximate.

Binance set the listing fee at zero BNB. Spot Algo Orders were active from the start, and Trading Bots plus Spot Copy Trading were expected within 24 hours.

Users in the United States, Canada, Iran, and the Netherlands, among other regions, cannot access the new pairs. Binance said the restricted list could change based on legal requirements.

Binance Flags HYPE As Higher Risk

HYPE now carries Binance’s Seed tag. This label is used for newer tokens that Binance considers to carry more volatility and risk than other listed assets.

Because of the tag, eligible users must complete risk-awareness quizzes every 90 days before trading. The quizzes apply to both Binance Spot and Binance Margin.

Binance said HYPE will likely see high price swings and encouraged traders to manage risk and do their own research.

Coin Bureau, a crypto analyst account, posted about the listing on X as it happened. The tweet said HYPE surged near $95 after Binance confirmed it would list Hyperliquid, adding that spot trading would open at 11:00 UTC with deposits already live and withdrawals starting the next day.

Whale Wallet Keeps Accumulating HYPE

Separate from the listing news, on-chain tracker Lookonchain has been following one wallet, labeled 0x6436, that has bought HYPE repeatedly since late August.

In September, the wallet purchased 373,730 HYPE tokens worth about $36 million. Before that, it bought 308,569 tokens worth roughly $26 million.

Earlier purchases included 141,442 HYPE for about $11.88 million on September 1, and 243,713 HYPE for about $20.24 million on August 30. The wallet has staked its holdings after buying.

This same address has been linked to PURR, a publicly traded company that has filed paperwork describing a strategy built around holding HYPE as a treasury asset. That context suggests the buying may reflect a longer-term corporate holding rather than short-term trading.

Trader WESLAD, who posts technical analysis on TradingView, has outlined a chart structure for HYPE. The analysis places $72 to $82 as a demand zone, with a break above $89.59 potentially opening a path toward $130 and then $170 to $180.

WESLAD’s chart also lists $68.34 as an invalidation point for the near-term setup, and $47.59 as the level that would challenge the broader uptrend if lost.

Trader @im_goomba has separately projected a longer-term move toward $210, with $110 and $160 marked as resistance points along the way.

Hyperliquid’s protocol also directs trading fees into a mechanism called the Assistance Fund, which converts fees into HYPE and burns the tokens. A September SEC filing said about $1.2 billion worth of HYPE, or roughly 46.4 million tokens, has been bought back and retired this way since launch.

HYPE was trading near $95 following the Binance listing announcement, based on the most recent data reviewed for this article.
