The day has finally come. Hollow Knight: Silksong can be played on a PC or console starting today. However, it seems PS5 players have to wait a bit longer, as it is currently unplayable.

Hollow Knight: Silksong PS5 release can only be wishlisted right now on PS Store

As of this writing, Hollow Knight: Silksong is not available to purchase on the PS Store despite it going live on digital storefronts at 10 a.m. ET. Players who visit the store will find that they can only add it to their wishlist. Team Cherry has not yet commented on the matter.

PS5 players are not the only players who have to wait a bit to play the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong. The game actually did go live on Steam, the Nintendo eShop, and the Microsoft Store, all of which suffered from issues due to the incredibly high demand for Team Cherry’s latest game.

Although some players are currently missing out during Hollow Knight: Silksong’s launch, some were able to purchase the game before chaos ensued, and it still seems to be doing well. As of this writing, the game is the 10th most-played game on Steam, with over 108,000 people playing according to SteamDB. This number would probably be higher if not for Steam breaking.

Additionally, players seem to be liking what they’ve played so far. On the Hollow Knight: Silksong Steam store page, the reviews are “overwhelmingly positive.”

Hollow Knight: Silksong is arguably one of the most anticipated games of all time. At one point, it was essentially a joke to predict the game would be at an event due to how long it took to develop. However, from the reactions so far, it seems it was worth the wait.

When Hollow Knight: Silksong finally becomes available for PS5, it will cost $19.99 on the PS Store.
