Heartland Season 20 Sets US Premiere Date on UP Faith & Family

The Bartlett-Fleming family is returning to American screens next month. UP Faith & Family has officially confirmed that Heartland Season 20 will premiere in the United States on November 19, 2026. This milestone season of the long-running drama arrives for U.S. viewers shortly after its Canadian debut on CBC earlier this October.

Season 20 introduces new professional challenges for horse whisperer Amy Fleming.

The upcoming season will follow a specific release structure involving a planned hiatus. After the first five episodes are released, the series will enter a four-week midseason break. Fans can expect the show to return with the remainder of the season on Thursday, January 14, 2027. To celebrate the American launch, UP Faith & Family is hosting a live virtual viewing event on the premiere night, providing a platform for the community to engage as the new stories unfold.

New Rivals and Family Dynamics

Season 20 introduces fresh conflicts for the residents of the ranch. According to Heartland Season 20 plot details, Amy Fleming finds her professional standing challenged by a “horse influencer” who emerges as a rival. This storyline pits Amy’s established horse-gentling techniques against a new, social-media-savvy approach to equestrian training. Simultaneously, Jack Bartlett will be seen struggling with trust issues regarding a character named Dex.

The upcoming season will feature a midseason hiatus before returning in early 2027.

Celebrating Two Decades of Heartland

As the longest-running one-hour scripted drama in Canadian television history, the show is marking its 20-season achievement with additional content. A feature-length documentary dedicated to the series is scheduled to premiere on December 13, 2026. This special is set to air during the break between the two halves of the Season 20 broadcast schedule, offering a retrospective look at the show’s legacy and its impact on the Western genre.

For U.S. audiences, UP Faith & Family remains the exclusive initial streaming home for the new episodes. While the show typically moves to other platforms in the U.S. at a later date, official streaming windows for other services have not yet been established for the 20th season.
