Head Trip, a one-time-only event by Goldenvoice, is bringing ravers together on October 10-11. Here’s what you’ll need to prepare for this historic outing.
In less than ten days, music history will be made once again in Indio, California. For one weekend, Head Trip, a one-time-only festival by Goldenvoice, is bringing together some of the most prolific voices in dance music.
Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, The Blessed Madonna, and DJ Harvey are headlining the bill, along with special b2b sets pairing FISHER with Chris Lake, Peggy Gou with Four Tet, and Dom Dolla with Kettama. Plus, Floating Points is bringing his Sunflower Sound System to the desert, making Head Trip its North American debut, and he’s also tapped a number of friends who will be using this unique, hi-fi speaker setup.
What makes this event even more exciting is that there will be only one stage for its headliners, meaning that fans will be able to catch every artist set to perform with no schedule conflicts (the Sunflower Sound System’s lineup is separate from the official bill). For those who can’t make it to Southern California, no worries, because Apple Music will be live-streaming the sets on its platform.
If you’re making the trek to Indio, keep reading along. We’ve compiled the must-know info for this historic event.

Reminder to Mind Your Belongings:
Unfortunately, festival attendees have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers. It’s essential to be mindful of your valuables while at Head Trip.
