With the final film in the Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson-led franchise scaring up copious amounts of dollars at the box office, HBO Max decided it was a good time to keep The Conjuring train moving full speed ahead. We’ve known for quite some time now that a series was set to be in development for the streamer and now, a new report revealed that the project has found its showrunner in Nancy Won, who will also write and executive produce. Won comes with a slew of hits under her belt, having previously worked in the writers’ room behind chart-topping favorites like Supernatural, Tiny Beautiful Things, Little Fires Everywhere, Tiny Beautiful Things, Jessica Jones, and Jericho.
