Back in July, it was announced that historical exhibits would be roaring back to life with a reboot of the Night at the Museum franchise. Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy, the mastermind behind the trilogy of family adventure favorites, is returning to produce through his 21 Laps banner, and Die Hartwriter Tripper Clancy was tapped to pen a new generation of nocturnal chaos. Notably missing from the team, however, were series star Ben Stiller and franchise producer Chris Columbus. In an interview with Collider's Maggie Lovitt on the nature of book-to-screen adaptations and, specifically, his new cozy mystery The Thursday Murder Club, Columbus opened up about his hopes for more museum-set fun and the heartwarming reason he ever set foot in the American Museum of Natural History in the first place.
