Nancy Lee Grahn shared photos with costar Erika Slezak and reflected on their past connection. In June 2025, General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed Slezak’s addition to the star-studded roster. He described her as “a daytime legend” joining Port Charles. The role Slezak will portray remains undisclosed.

General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn talks about ‘true joy’ of working with Erika Slezak again

Grahn shared a selfie with Slezak on Instagram, recalling her first job on One Life to Live as Beverly Wilkes. She noted working on a non-contract basis while finishing school and described appearing alongside Judith Light, Gerald Anthony, and Erika Slezak as “surreal and thrilling.”

Reflecting on her time at OLTL, she added, “It was four years into this amazing gig, where I remained uncontracted and free to do other things as long as I gave them seven days’ notice, when I was seriously being considered for the role of Stella Siegel in NBC’s The Gangster Chronicles.”

She competed with Kathleen Lloyd for the role and earned a third screen test. She flew to Los Angeles for the audition but had to leave the show without notice.

When the producer sued her, she went to Slezak for advice. Appreciating Slezak’s efforts in helping her with the case, she said, “Erika, without being asked to, went directly into her boss’s office and told him in no uncertain terms that what he was doing was unconscionable, mean, and unwarranted. She got right in the middle of a lawsuit and stood up for me, because she believed what her boss was doing to me was wrong and undeserved.”

She added, “She spoke up for me. That’s the kind of woman Erika is. In addition to that, she’s an outstanding, consummate, well-awarded actress who was a mentor to me as I watched her and learned up close how to be truthful and effective in this medium.” Grahn stated that she won the case, which was settled in arbitration.

Furthermore, she expressed her happiness at crossing paths with Slezak again on GH, describing it as “true joy.” She noted, “It is no secret how much I respect and appreciate formidable, courageous women, and Erika is unquestionably one of them.” Grahn concluded the caption on a positive note, sending love to everyone in these “trying” times.
