The return of Britt to General Hospital is becoming one of the most dramatic arcs. After surviving the bombing, Britt is back in Port Charles, but her homecoming won’t be smooth sailing. Kelly Thiebaud, who plays Britt, opened up about what fans can expect, while head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased what else is in store.

Just as General Hospital fans root for Britt and Jason’s reunion, Kelly Thiebaud has something else to say: “I think it’s going to be really hard for her.” Further adding it’s not because of the lack of a connection, “They have the kind of connection where no matter what they are going through, it’s really easy to just like each other.” However, Britt hasn’t forgotten how Jason hurt her by walking away to marry Carly. “It was a betrayal,” the actress said, adding that Britt knows she deserved better.

That heartbreak is bound to complicate things, especially with Carly still in Jason’s corner. “There’s going to be a lot of tension there,” Thiebaud teased. “We’re not gonna be BFF, that’s for sure.” While she joked about not wanting to slap anyone, it’s clear that something will happen when Carly and Britt come across each other again. On top of that, Britt has to face her mother, Liesl Obrecht. All in all, as Thiebaud put it, “In a lot of ways, she’s going to have to work her way back.”

If family drama and romantic tension weren’t enough, Britt’s professional life is also set to be up in the air.

Co-head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten revealed that Britt’s return will rattle the hospital staff. “We can’t wait to see her do battle with Port Charles’s power players,” they teased, pointing to Elizabeth, Lucas, and Portia as major players who stepped up in Britt’s absence.
