General Hospital Is Preempted on Labor Day

When holidays roll around, soap fans often wonder if their favorite daytime dramas will be on or not. Well, this year, while all the other soaps will be on, General Hospital will be preempted on Labor Day, so there will be no new episode airing on Monday, September 1. Instead, ABC will air an encore presentation of the January 31, 2025, episode, where Kristina told Sonny how Sam really died, a heartbroken Dante was furious that he couldn’t investigate Sam’s murder, Brook Lynn confirmed Cody hadn’t spilled her big secret, Lulu confessed to Laura that she still loves Dante, Brad upped his blackmail of Portia and more.

Because ABC is preempting GH nationally, that means that no new episode will air during the afternoon on Monday, so there’s no point looking for it later that evening to stream on ABC.com or Hulu, because there will be nothing there. The drama in Port Charles will simply pick up on Tuesday, September 2, right where it left off on Friday. Viewers don’t need to worry at all about missing anything.
