
FX has shared the official trailer for English Teacher Season 2, over a year after the acclaimed comedy series debuted. The first installment currently holds a Certified Fresh score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 44 reviews.
“The show follows Evan Marquez, a high school teacher in Austin, Texas, who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional, and political aspects of working at a high school. Evan wants to be a principled person, but often runs into trouble because of it,” reads the official logline. “In Season 2, Evan still refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High. Evan and the teaching staff will find themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, COVID, military recruitment, and student phone usage.”

When is the release date for FX’s English Teacher Season 2?
The English Teacher Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on September 25, 2025, on FX. All episodes will also stream on Hulu. The cast includes Brian Jordan Alvarez as Evan Marquez, Stephanie Koenig as Gwen Sanders, Enrico Colantoni as Grant Moretti, Sean Patton as Markie, Carmen Christopher as Rick Santana, Jordan Firstman as Malcolm, and more.
The sitcom is created and executive-produced by Alvarez, who’s best known for his roles in Will & Grace and Jane the Virgin. He recently reprised his role as Cole in Blumhouse’s horror sequel M3GAN 2.0. Executive producers are Paul Simms, Jonathan Krisel, Dave King, Kathryn Dean, Jake Bender, and Zach Dunn. It hails from FX Productions. The show earned four Independent Spirit Awards nominations, including Best New Scripted Series and Best Lead Performance in a New Scripted Series.
