Audiences can't seem to get enough of sleazy psychological thrillers. It's the one genre that is truly critic-proof. A largely forgotten 2011 movie featuring the most era-appropriate cast — Minka Kelly, Leighton Meester, Cam Gigandet, and Aly Michalka — is suddenly becoming a streaming sensation on Netflix. The movie holds a remarkably poor 3% score on Rotten Tomatoes, but this didn't stop viewers from checking it out in theaters, and it isn't influencing their decision to watch it at home. The film's success comes on the heels of The Housemaid and 56 Days, both of which did very well at their respective venues.
