It hasn’t been an ideal start to the year so far for Chris Pratt, whose wacky sci/fi team-up with Rebecca Ferguson underwhelmed at the box office, failing to earn back its $60 million budget. Still, despite mostly poor reviews from critics, the film is slowly rewriting history by becoming one of Prime Video’s biggest streaming debuts of the year. However, Pratt has wasted no time turning things around with his return to theaters in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the sequel to his hit 2023 video game adaptation co-starring Anya Taylor-Joy. In less than two weeks, the film has collected over $600 million at the box office, positioning it as the first $1 billion movie of 2026. Another of Pratt’s biggest projects this year is his new Apple TV movie with Linda Cardellini, Way of the Warrior Kid.
