The family of a British man who mysteriously died on holiday in Benidorm say they are still looking for answers after police shut down their murder investigation.

Nathan Osman was found at the bottom of a cliff on the outskirts of the resort while on holiday with friends in September.

Despite the dad-of-four’s family finding Nathan’s card had been used after his death, police have confirmed they are treating the death as accidental.

His brother Lee Evans told the BBC: ‘Nathan hasn’t been given any thought or justice.’

Nathan had spent the evening with friends before heading back to his hotel alone, but his bed had not been slept in.

His body was found by an off duty officer later the next day an hour away in the opposite direction to the hotel.

Lee believes his brother was taken to the cliff against his will, after having found CCTV footage showing him walking along Benidorm’s promenade towards his hotel at around 4.08am.

It shows him ‘looking fine’ and showing no signs of drunkenness, the family say.

He is known to have been talking to a friend on a video call that night until his phone battery ran out.

Nathan’s family believe he would not have walked to the area where he was found willingly or by accident as it’s difficult to reach.

‘There is one road up so we believe he must have been taken. It is inaccessible by foot,’ Lee said.

‘To walk up that hill would be at least 90 minutes and it is a rural area.’

The attempted purchases were made at a place nine minutes drive away from the place he was found, and his valuables had also disappeared.

But authorities have told them ‘all paths of evidence have been closed’, leaving the family feeling ‘abandoned’.

Lee said: ‘We believe someone has disposed of his body there. There’s a person or persons who are out there who are responsible for taking him up there and for his death.

Lee said: ‘We want to be able to tell Nathan’s children when they’re older that we tried everything in our power to get justice for their dad.’
