Emmerdale’s Sadie stunned by huge change in Cain after he expertly takes her down

Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) recently had a conversation about their past in Emmerdale.

Sadie rocked up to the village for the first time in 20 odd years after the death of Jimmy King (Nick Miles). She claimed that she was back to pay her respects, but the real reason for her comeback was soon revealed.

The iconic character is searching for a large stash of cash that was hidden by Jimmy, and is spinning the story that she had a secret relationship with him for three years to get close to Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).

During a chat with sidekick Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) – who will take half of Jimmy’s money if they find it – Sadie glanced across the road and spotted Cain working at the garage.

During their chat at Wishing Well, Sadie reflected on the situation that saw Cain end their relationship after stealing a substantial amount of money from her. Sadie told Cain that when he left her, she was heartbroken.

She then revealed that not long after Cain did a runner, she discovered that she was pregnant. Sadie only spent a brief period relishing in the joy that she was about to become a mum, as she sadly suffered a miscarriage.

Later, Sadie was confronted by Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) in the pub, and was taken aback when Moira revealed that Cain has cancer.

Cain was incredibly honest with Moira in tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, as he shared that he didn’t tell Sadie about his cancer because he was enjoying the attention and how she was flattering his ego.

In the shop, Sadie made the mistake of assuming that Cain hadn’t changed in the time that she’s been away from the village. When Moira made it clear that she knew about the baby Sadie had lost, she was surprised that Cain hadn’t kept it a secret.

Sadie tried to drop Moira in it by mentioning that she was threatened by her in the pub last week. It was all done with the attempt at creating friction between Moira and Cain, but it didn’t work.

‘What happened to you?’, Sadie asked.

‘She did’, Cain responded, while Moira smirked.

Cain’s allegiances were made clear – and thank goodness he remained on Moira’s side.
